The Easiest Chocolate Icing You’ll Ever Make

This 2 ingredient chocolate icing is smooth, indulgent, and takes just minutes to make. No complicated steps, no special equipment—just melt, mix, and spread.

Ingredients
300 g milk chocolate (10.5 oz)
200 g Nestlé dessert cream (7 oz)
OR
150 ml whipping or fresh cream (½ cup / 120 ml heavy cream)
Instructions
Break or chop the chocolate into small pieces and place into a microwave-safe bowl.
Pour the cream over the chocolate.
Microwave for 1½ minutes (90 seconds).
Let it stand for 3–4 minutes.
Stir until the mixture becomes smooth, glossy, and spreadable.
Allow it to cool slightly before spreading over your cake.
Tips for Perfect Chocolate Icing
Use dark chocolate for a richer, more intense flavour
Let the icing cool slightly for a thicker, spreadable consistency
If it feels too thick, gently warm it again for a few seconds
Make It Pourable (Optional)

Pour over your cake while still warm
Place the cake in the fridge to set
